Opening VIP Reception and Fundraiser
for Metrocrest Services

The Urban Artist Market kicks off with a VIP Reception on Friday night that supports Metrocrest Services.  Stroll the show floor while enjoying live music by Dallas singer and songwriter Robin Hackett, open bar by Roxor Artisan Gin and Bitter Sisters Brewing Company.  Plus enjoy appetizers compliments of Mesero, Prestonwood location. The Urban Artist Market has several live demos planned throughout the reception and entire weekend. Check out the schedule upon arrival and make sure to watch these Dallas artisans at work.

Local Dallas-based singer/songwriter Robin Hackett will be performing live at the Urban Artist Market. She is a vocal powerhouse who has the ability to deliver powerful messages with beautiful rhythms that stay with you long after the music ends. Her sound has been compared to Sheryl Crow, Joni Mitchell, Norah Johns and Sarah Vaughn.

Mesero: Mexican Spirit | American Life will be providing tasty appetizers during the event and special gift bags for the first 150 attendees. Roxor Artisan Gin, a locally-crafted Dallas business, will be providing a specialty drink from their exclusive bar during this event.

Funds from the reception will be used to support Metrocrest Services which assists families, individuals, and senior adults who are coping with crisis situations, need help stabilizing their lives, or who require support to live independently. They serve Carrollton, Farmers Branch, Addison, Coppell and parts of Denton County.

"Out of the Darkness” Community Walk

Suicide prevention starts with everyday heroes like you. Join the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention on Saturday, October 27 at Addison Circle Park for the Dallas Out of the Darkness Walk as we walk to fight suicide and raise awareness about mental health. Be a part of the movement turning hope into action and create a culture that’s smart about mental health. Funds raised at the walk will benefit the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. In an effort to support their cause, the Urban Artist Market will be distributing $5 off UAM admission coupons from our table at the beginning of the walk near the registration area. Last year more than 1,900 walkers participated in the walk. Plan to come early, participate in the walk and then stop by the Urban Artist Market for some holiday shopping!

The Women For Addison, fostering fellowship and service among Addison women in support of our neighbors, non-profits serving our community, and the Town of Addison’s staff, charter and City Manager form of government, will enjoy coffee and light breakfast fare at 9 a.m. in the lobby of the Addison Conference Centre. The Women for Addison and their guests will get access the show for a sneak preview before the floor opens to the public at 10 a.m. They will be collecting supplies and equipment for DISD Bush Elementary School’s Art Program from the WFA guests. Town of Addison Partnership

The Town of Addison Tourism Department has put their support behind the Urban Artist Market. Addison will advertise this event throughout their city media channels including their website, social media, city e-newsletter and calendar of events. Everyone has heard of Addison’s Oktoberfest, KaboomTown and Vitruvian Lights events because Addison is known for putting on a good show. The Urban Artist Market will join these ranks as we plan to attract hundreds of visitors throughout the weekend; all getting a chance to see your art and make on-site purchases. We will also be hanging a banner across Beltline near the Tollway which introduces the show to thousands of drivers starting two weeks before the event.

Addison Magazine Partnership

As an event sponsor, Addison Magazine will be promoting the event on their website, e-news and magazine before, during and after the event. Addison magazine reaches more than 440,000 print and online readers every issue. Their October/November issue will feature an article about the Urban Artist Market and an advertisement to promote the event!  Addison Magazine will even feature a “Cocktail of the Moment” that will be given to our guests at the VIP Reception on Friday night. Plus, VIP Guests will receive a free copy of the ad in their gift bag on Friday night!

Rebecca Collins Artist Studio Interviews

Urban Artist Market artist Rebecca Collins, talented owner of Treehouse Studios, will be filming several Urban Artist Market exhibitors in their studios before the event. The interviews will be sent out to our attendee email list as well as be posted on our YouTube channel. Rebecca will also be distributing the video to her active following.

Rainmaker Advertising Marketing Plan

The Urban Artist Market founder is also owner of Rainmaker Advertising. Rainmaker has been providing extensive show and attendee marketing to associations and non-profits for more than 20 years. Rainmaker Advertising has planned a coordinated marketing effort for the Urban Artist Market. The company will provide social media marketing through Facebook and Instagram, as well as email marketing and direct mail before the show.
